We would love to introduce ourselves! I'm Sammy de Leede, 27 years old and the founder of Hotspots For You!
What once started as a hobby, sharing the best restaurants with my girlfriends in, if I say so myself, terribly amateurish videos, has grown into a platform with more than 170,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok.
And wow, I never would have dared to dream of that! But the very best part is the contact with all of you. The sweet comments, messages and photos from followers who visited a hotspot thanks to one of my videos. That really is the best thing there is!
And yes, especially when visiting restaurants I could use some help. Because, as you can probably imagine, I can't finish all those packed tables on my own, haha! Luckily there's my boyfriend Cem, who now supports me in my work, and mainly with the eating. Together we discover the best places and we are always looking for new hotspots to share with you.
But then a new idea came up...
We noticed that more and more friends and people around us were running into the same thing. "Eating out is so expensive these days!" or "We want to do something fun in Rotterdam, but where do we start? There are so many videos on TikTok!"
And we understood that really well. Social media is full of fun restaurant videos, but just try finding that one great spot again among all those hundreds of videos. And how nice would it be if you could also see right away where you can eat well and affordably?
And that is how the idea for the Hotspots For You website was born. 💚
